PUPILS at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Prep school have captivated a sold-out audience with their vibrant summer production of Peter Pan.
From soaring flights to spirited pirate battles, the performance showcased exceptional talent across years 3 to 6.
Prep pupils at Haberdashers’ Monmouth School wowed audiences last week with a spectacular summer production of Peter Pan, performed to a sold-out theatre of proud parents, friends and family.

The annual Prep School musical showcased the extraordinary talent, dedication and creativity of pupils from years 3 to 6, supported by an enthusiastic team of staff and parent volunteers.
The production transported the audience from the Darling nursery to the skies above London, and deep into the heart of Neverland.
Peter Pan was played with confidence and charm by Arthur, whose commanding stage presence and vocal talent shone throughout.
Alongside him, Audrey delivered a poised and angelic performance as Wendy. Together, their scenes of flight and adventure captured the imagination of all, earning rapturous applause.

The production opened in the Darling home, where Mrs Darling played by Aislinn R-O and Mr Darling played by Oscar H tucked their children John played by Thomas A, Michael who was played by Sammy G and Wendy into bed with the help of their beloved dog-nanny, ‘Nana’ brought to life with delightful spirit by Elsie A.
The magic unfolded with the arrival of Peter Pan and the ever- sparkling Tinkerbell, played with mischievous energy by Esme K-N.
Their entrance through the nursery window marked the beginning of an unforgettable journey.

Adding humour and theatrical flair, Brinley M brought menace and wit to the role of Captain Hook, ably supported by Dan M as the bumbling Smee.
The pirate crew, played with gusto by Year 4 pupils, were a highlight of the show, offering comedic moments which had the audience in stitches.
Year 3 pupils lit up the stage with vibrant energy, portraying Neverland’s children with joy and enthusiasm.
The Brave Girls and Lost Boys added depth to the ensemble, bringing Peter’s world to life through, song, dance and drama.

Behind the scenes, the production was made possible thanks to the tremendous support of Prep parent volunteers, whose creativity transformed the stage with imaginative set design and visual flair.
Head of Music Joe Walton directed the musical elements with expertise, guiding over 100 young voices in perfect harmony. His work, alongside the cast’s vocal performances added a powerful layer to the production.
David Murray, who supported pupils throughout rehearsals, was also thanked for his invaluable role in preparing the children for the stage.

Headteacher, Neil Shaw, commented: “This production has left me speechless, what a performance from all the pupils in year 3 right through to year 6 a wonderful example of the teamwork, talent and spirit that define our school community.”
“Our pupils performed with courage, joy and professionalism and we’re incredibly proud of them.”
There have been several events which Haberdashers’ Monmouth school have been involved in including: Staff masked singer competition, A new dawn, Hairspray, JCA fashion show, Swim for Tom.
