THE Worshipful Company of Haberdashers marked the Millennium in style with a service at St Paul's Cathedral, London, attended by HRH Princess Margaret and representatives from all the Haberdashers' schools including those in Monmouth.
The choirs from the Monmouth Schools set off in a coach at 5.30am while the rest of the School followed in a fleet of coaches shortly after 9am.
After the service there was a reception in the Guildhall where staff and pupils had the chance to meet Haberdashers, together with their counter-parts from Elstree and other Haberdashers' schools.
To round the day off pupils also had the option of a trip to the theatre to see The Graduate, Blood Brothers, The Lion King or Phantom of the Opera.
All those who made the trip agreed it had been a marvellous experience and there was much to discuss on the return journey.
