monmouth fundraiser Emma King is well on her way to hitting her goal of raising £25,000 for ABF The Soldiers' Charity by the end of this year. Emma took part in the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 13th April for the fourth time, even running a personal best. Each time she has dedicated her efforts to raising funds for the charity. She is an ambassador for the charity and works closely with them helping fundraising and raising awareness on a regional and national level. She started fundraising for the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) after seeing the support they give to serving and retired soldiers and their families, especially Jamie Gunn's family. Emma wanted to fundraise in his memory. Her fundraising has not yet finished for 2014 as the total currently stands at £22,000. There is a sky dive planned for June 18th and the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in September.
