I read in a local paper "Forest Councillors voted unanimously to freeze their basic allowance payments".

I trust the Monmouthshire County Council and the Monmouth Town Council will also consider and implement the same strategy.

The Forest Council went onto say "This year we have taken into account the financial problems that the Country is facing and that the Council is facing.

I trust we can expect an announcement in the "Monmouthshire Beacon", shortly, duplicating the above and may I thank the Monmouth County Council and Town Council, in advance, for their understanding of the present financial constraints the voting public are being put under by foregoing any rise in their Personal Allowances this year.
