THE county councillor for Monmouth’s flood-hit Town ward says free parking has been agreed in the town’s council car parks until Christmas.
With parking at a premium on Monnow Street as businesses try and clear up and get back on their feet, that will hopefully encourage more people to support traders in the festive run-up when they reopen.
Cllr Martin Newell (Conservative) posted at 10am: “Details to follow... the mayor has messaged to say free parking has been secured in town til Christmas.”
