MONMOUTH are in for an exciting experience as a new upcoming show is set to take place at The Savoy this Christmas.

Lemon Jelly Pantos is returning to the Savoy after their triumphant Mother Goose pantomime last year. This year they are returning with performances of Dick Whittington. The show has all the unusual magical ingredients which children and adults love including the UV Under the Sea spectacular.

This family pantomime presents a multi-talented cast, where performances feature vibrant characters, comedy, and an array of costumes and special effects, but most importantly Monmouth have the chance to join Dick Whittington and his cat on a quest for fame and fortune.

The productions co-producer and pantomime dame Peter Rowell said: “We loved our Christmas visit to the Savoy last year with our pantomime Mother Goose. We’re excited to be returning with Dick Whittington.

“The Monmouth audiences are a real multi-generational combination of grandparents, parents children and tots. They laugh, cheer and clap with much enthusiasm which means as a cast we enjoy the performance as much as they do.

“Playing Sarah the Cook gives me great pleasure to return to the Savoy whilst staring in my favourite pantomime of them all. The cast and crew feel lucky to be able to spread festive joy in one of the most beautiful theatres in Wales which we have the pleasure of appearing at this year. We’re proud to continue the pantomime tradition preserving entertainment heritage for a new generation. This year audiences are in for a treat so book tickets before they sell out like last year.”

The production is taking place at The Savoy on Tuesday December 8 until Saturday December 12 and Sunday December 27 until Tuesday December 29 with shows every day. Group tickets are available by phone.
