There were some strange goings-on at Chepstow Castle last week, as the Dr Who cast visited the historic building on Wednesday (17th April).
Filming for the show's 50th anniversary, the cast and crew, including Timelord stars David Tennant and Matt Smith, spent the day in the UK's oldest stone castle and took time to meet fans and sign autographs for dedicated fans outside.
The show has been filmed in various locations across South Wales, including the National Museum at Cardiff. The anniversary episode will be aired later this year.
The Cadw protected castle stayed open to the public throughout the day.
An onlooker said: "It was really exciting to see all the stars of Dr Who in Chepstow.
"I have watched the show since I was a little boy and was delighted to see all the cast being so generous with their time, signing things and meeting their fans."
A Cadw spokeswoman was unable to comment on the show, but did say that Monmouthshire's historic attractions seem to pull in a host of TV and film stars to the area: "We have a steady flow of filming at Raglan and Chepstow Castles and at Tintern. There are always inquiries coming in."
The 50th anniversary cast includes David Tennant, Matt Smith, Billie Piper, John Hurt, Jenna-Louise Coleman and Joanna Page.
This filming comes only weeks after the announcement of a new television show in Chepstow.
The 13-part fantasy series Atlantis will employ 140 members of staff at a converted Tesco warehouse.
