SIR,
Monmouth Community Under Fives is being told that their funding will be withdrawn by Monmouthshire Early Years Development and Childcare Partership (EYDCP) as of the end of this term, due to them not having their own free access to an outside area.
They cannot move to new premises which will have all the requirements for them to carry on getting their funding as they are waiting for Monmouthshire County Council to approve planning for a new building at Singleton Court.
I think that they should be given funding until the end of the school year so they have time for the council to get their act together and grant their planning application.
If they lose the funding now, parents like me will have to decrease the amount of days that their child does, which will not help them in getting ready to go to full time school.
Mrs M Fuller
(Monmouth)
