THE Welsh Cider and Perry festival attracted around 3,500 visitors over its successful weekend at Caldicot Castle.

Friday 22nd May to Monday 25th May saw crowds flock to the festival which hosted 123 different ciders and perries.

Festival co-ordinator, Cressida Slater, said: "It was a fantastic weekend and we were inundated with people queuing to come in.

"We had more campers than we've ever had before which was brilliant.

"We even had to restock our cider bar and call on producers to bring more, despite having 123 different ciders.

"It was a concerted effort by all involved."
