St Thomas Church, Overmonnow, would like, through your column, to thank Mr and Mrs Saran of Goldwire Stores and all their customers who have so generously donated to the St Thomas counter collecting box.

Over the past six years this has amounted to an incredible £4,000 for the church funds.

The Saran family have quietly supported St Thomas Church for very many years, for which we are so grateful.

We would like to take this opportunity for our thanks to be known publicly.

We wish Mr and Mrs Saran all our good wishes for their future retirement and life in Monmouth together.
