MITCHEL Troy Fair, held last Sunday 15th July, enjoyed some great sunny weather and had something for everyone.

Stalls included a tom bola, splat the rat, a coconut shy, a ladder game as well as Hands around the World with their colourful and interesting stand.

Millbrook Nursery sponsored a ’sow and grow’ stall.

A dog show drew in a delightful collection of dogs of all shapes and sizes.

One dog that came second in the waggiest tail, at 25 wags per second, was Sky, owned by Jake Elliot, and his sister India.

Most hairy dog winner was Tia, the German Shepherd, and Max, the golden retriever won best in show, both owned by Helen Elkins.

Richard John, newly elected county councillor for Mitchel Troy, also attended the show.

Richard said: “I pay tribute to the Mitchel Troy Village Hall committee, local community councillors and volunteers who worked so hard to make the fair such a great success. With a vast improvement on last year’s wet weather, it was a fun family day out, with activities for every age.”
