Monmouth Pride 2025 was a vibrant triumph, even as the rain poured, spirits soared writes Patricia Maddalena . Now in its second year, the event felt like a well-loved tradition, filled with colour, laughter, music, and community warmth. Though the venue was a little hidden (more signage next time, please!), it became a joyful sanctuary. Drag performers dazzled, the music was electric, especially Dryadic’s moving set, and Alistair Aitcheson’s interactive theatre was a highlight. The truly inspirational Salem Danger spoke with honesty and heart about becoming the young man he is today, earning a powerful response from the crowd. Daddy Compare’s warmth and wit tied it all together, and the Monmouth Community Choir uplifted everyone. Huge thanks to the organisers; roll on Monmouth Pride 2026!
