The Bridges Centre Monmouth will be the venue for a talk by Ben Rawlence co-founder with Owen Sheers of Black Mountains College, in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The aim of the College is to challenge students on how to build a fair and just society within safe planetary boundaries.
Ben is known for his books Radio Congo and City of Thorns on the human cost of environmental disaster in Africa.
His third book Treeline, featured in a BBC4 Radio programme, shows how climate change in the Arctic circle is making us realise that we have to make radical changes in the way we live.
The event, sponsored by the CPRW (Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales), is on Friday November 25 at 7pm at the Bridges Centre, Monmouth. Admission is free and open to all.
