What do we as the public really think of religious callers knocking on our front doors?

I am so fed up with it and I have a notice on the door saying "no cold callers", yet they still knock.

I am always very adamant I don't want to know, yet they still knock.

Today I asked them to put my number in their book and make sure no-one else knocks my front door.

One lady said we are not selling anything. I disagree.

She is selling, in a round about way, her religious beliefs.

The no cold callers sign also means "don't call without an appointment", or at least it does in my mind.

I just feel if I want to know about religion, I'll ask in the appropriate places. I don't like it rammed down my throat.

Understandably some people can't get out, but how many people actually join?
