GIBRALTAR Care Village brought in the festive season this week with a Christmas party for staff, residents and their families.
The residents of the purpose built care home got into the spirit of Christmas by singing, dancing and eating a selection of cheese, crackers, wine and mince pies. To help the festivities along, entertainment was provided by Mandy Ann who encouraged the residents to join in the fun as she sang old favourites like ‘Jingle Bells’, ‘I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas’ and ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer’. Most people were handed bells so they could jingle them along to the music as she sang.
Mandy Ann also encouraged singing as she handed the microphone to the residents who then took it in turns to sing a few lines of their favourite Christmas tunes. A few people went for a quick gentle spin around the dance floor whilst singing their hearts out.
The room erupted with delight at the end of each song as they showed their enthusiasm for the spectacular entertainment.
