LIGHTS, camera, action. Bridges Community Centre was transformed into a runway of vibrant lights, excitement and creativity, as residents gathered for a charity fashion show that celebrated style with purpose.
Models took to the catwalk wearing outfits sourced entirely from the two charities, proving that sustainable clothing and second-hand style can be both fashionable and support a great cause.

“Kim a volunteer from The Dogs Trust said: “We are here at an amazing fashion show; we have received amazing raffle prizes from local businesses.
“The community in Monmouth is so kind and the businesses have been so supportive of our event.”

With music pulsing through the room and bright lights to set up the scene, there was a lively crowd cheering people on, so the atmosphere was nothing but positive with bright smiles all around.
Sue Eldridge, a trustee for Bridges charity, said: “I am responsible for our charity shop in Monmouth, tonight we’re holding an exciting event. We’re both part of the community and we thought why not work together.
“Tonight, it’s all about having fun, it’s all been put on by volunteers at minimal cost, showcasing all our outfits that come through the shop to show you can really dress well from a charity shop.”

The models showcased a range of looks, from everyday wear to evening wear and outfits for special occasions, which were available to buy from anyone who attended.
Attendees were able to purchase refreshments as they spoke to residents in the community as well as participating in a raffle with prizes donated from local businesses.

The fashion show highlighted how important community spirit can be, uniting people together whilst supporting charity. Seeing all the lit-up faces across the room indicated that the evening was a huge success and one to remember.
