SIR, It may be time to re-open the debate and request for CCTV in the town and surrounding streets. Just three weeks ago a visitor had their car scraped along the passenger side whilst parked in Almshouse Street, along with the vehicles parked in front and behind them. It happened between 5pm and 10am. On Monday 10th November, the wing mirror was ripped off a car in Almshouse Street and the glass dislodged from my car. I heard the incident, early in the evening but of course, the culprits did not report the damage and have yet again got away, leaving others to claim on their insurance or paying the bill. It would have been so much easier to trace these vandals with CCTV. Just who is being protected? Karen Blake (Monmouth)
