Caught on camera: three men were arrested in Monnow Street just after 2.30 on Monday and are being questioned in relation to shoplifting offences in the town. PSCO Dean Wall, who was involved in the operation with colleague PSCO Guiseppe Facchino, said after viewing CCTV images, they were able to get a description of the men, which they passed on via police radio and the Storenet radio to alert shopkeepers. As a result the men, who are not local, were arrested. "It was a good team effort across the board," said PSCO Wall.
