SIR,

Local campaigners from towns, villages and cities in the South West will be travelling to London on Saturday 8th June to take part in a mass BIG IF rally in Hyde Park to call for action on hunger.

Organisations in the region will be joining thousands of others in the UK calling on our Government and world leaders to end global hunger once and for all.

The mass rally in Hyde Park has been organised as part of the Enough Food for Everyone IF campaign, a coalition of over 150 UK-based organisations. The South West IF campaign includes Oxfam South West, Christian Aid, Send a Cow, CAFOD, Bristol Fairtrade and Tearfund.

People from Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and Gloucestershire will be travelling to London on coaches from Plymouth, Exeter, Taunton, Bath and Bristol. Thousands of people will meet in Hyde Park from 11am onwards for the Big IF rally. There will be big name and inspiring speakers, live music, family activities and a huge visual image to represent 2 million children who die from hunger every year.

The Big IF is our chance to send a powerful message to world leaders that they must take action to tackle world hunger on the same weekend when David Cameron hosts a Hunger Summit and a week before the G8 summit in Northern Ireland (17th-18th June).

With the South West coalition travelling to the rally, local people have a chance to add their voice and enjoy a brilliant day out. To book a space on one of the coaches going down to London, call CAFOD Plymouth on 01752 551 679 or go to: http://www.Ifbristolcoach.even">www.Ifbristolcoach.even

If enough people join us in showing support to end hunger, world leaders will be forced to act and millions of lives can be saved. Find out more at http://www.enoughfoodif.org">www.enoughfoodif.org
