Monmouth Town U16 Gwent County League.Good away victory for Monmouth Town. Undy 0 – Monmouth Town 6
Keen to get back on winning ways following a disappointing loss in their last game, MT got stuck in early and following the first goal, the result was never in doubt. Football wasn't pretty at times, having to keep our heads against a very physical Undy team, but an all round solid performance was given. Good composure and good commitment. Goals - R Davies (1), T Burns (1) and Man of the Match, Jimmy Lee with 4 well taken goals.

With a squad of over 20 players training, choosing a side was always going to be tough. However, Tiana Smith, Adam Morgan, Matthew Terrell and Thomas Swallow all kindly agreed to play for Raglan and ensure everyone got a full game. Excellently hosted by Raglan at their newly furbished ground, Monmouth Town under 7s were soon put under pressure and Daniel Keane repeated his great goalkeeping efforts of the previous week. However not even he could stop Raglan scoring first. The defence marshalled by Sam Williams with excellently support from Jacob Parella and Emily Breffington still held out. Zak 'Ever Ready' Morgan and Lewis 'Duracell' Bevan ran the midfield covering all the pitch whilst Lewis Catlin enjoyed his first outing in yellow kit sponsored by IQE. Dillon Rasmussen then replaced Keane with some fantastic saves enabling Daniel to link up well with Harry Johnson in the second half. Some excellent passing play (Following Andrew Smith's training session) enabled Monmouth to score twice through Johnson before Terrell's effort added to two further Raglan goals in quick succession. A five metre push over goal involving all Monmouth players gave a glimmer of hope and in the final minutes Harry Johnson capped of an excellent hat trick to end a fantastic game. Congratulations to Raglan on a well played game.
