When you become Mayor of a busy border town like Monmouth, then suddenly you become a very busy person.
In her first week or so as Monmouth's first citizen, Mandy Russell has discovered how husband Jonathon must have felt when he held the position some years ago.
She was guest of HMS Monmouth, played a leading role in the Civic Service, attended the Mop Fair, not to mention all the usual functions that a Town Mayor is expected to carry out, including chairing town council meetings, etc.
