THE body of a man has been found by a dogwalker in woodland near Alice Crescent in Chepstow.
The man has been named locally as Jonathan Williams, 31, from the Chepstow area. Gwent Police had recently appealed for Williams’s whereabouts after he was recalled to prison for breaching his licence
conditions.
Friends have paid their respects, with his brother writing on social media: “RIP big bro, going to miss you so, so much. Sleep well big sprog, love you today, tomorrow and every day after.”
Gwent Police said in a statement: “We were called at 2.40pm on Friday 23rd October to a location near Alice Crescent in Chepstow. On arrival the body of a man was discovered.
“Officers are investigating the circumstances of the death, but are not urgently seeking anybody else in connection with it.”
