This year’s Devauden Village Fete raised the impressive sum of over £2000 which will be shared with St James Church.
Friends of the church were struck with a devastating blow two years ago, when there were informed they would have to find thousands of pounds in church maintenance fees.
Following a routine inspection in July 2020, it was discovered that repairs are needed to the roof, porch, windows and woodwork of Devauden Church.
Volunteers are fundraising in the hopes they can raise the money needed to complete all of the repairs.
The church itself began life as Devauden School and was built by James Davies in 1814 and funded by the Duke of Beaufort.
