Last Tuesday (24th May), my girlfriend and my cousins from Ipswich met up for a meal and drinks.
They came in to town from Raglan by bus, but when it came to leaving we were absolutely dumfounded to find out that not one of the taxi companies in the town works on a Tuesday.
What sort of image of our town does that send out to visitors?
And who hands out licences? Surely they should stipulate that at least one company works on a Tuesday.
To add insult to injury, after staying in the spare bed in my flat, one taxi company refused to take them back on the Wednesday morning too.
I am ashamed to admit being a Monmothian.
