SIR,

I do so agree with your correspondent of last week concerning the parking in Dixton Close. Do we have to wait for a serious accident to occur before something is done about the haphazard parking here?

I have counted as many as 19 cars parked from the corner of the close along the road, this cuts down the road to a single track, buses find great difficulty in passing through and we must just hope that a fire engine or ambulance is not required.

Parking occurs on the double yellow lines leading into the close and I know of residents who have had a bump in their car because of this.

It is dangerous, please can we have a "residents parking only" here?
