AN art exhibition at the Shire Hall last week generated a great response from the public. When Monmouth resident David Fettis decided to put on an exhibition of the work of local artists instead of going on his annual holiday, he was faced with the problem of how to make contact with them. However, a little publicity resulted in over 30 artists coming forward, all of whom were very keen to take part. The result has been a terrific exhibition in the Shire Hall which was visited by a vast number of residents over the course of the week. Many were established art practitioners with a few having never shown their work before. The beautifully curated exhibition covered a wide range of mediums including sculpture, textile and photography as well as digital art.
