VOLUNTEERS from Gwent Cats Protection are trying to find the owner of a handsome black cat who was trapped in Abergavenny by a member.
She was trying to catch an unneutered tomcat in Penypound, Abergavenny who had been terrorising feline pets in the area, as well as spraying in the owners’ houses. The volunteer who caught the tame cat, which was neutered and microchipped, took him to the vet in Abergavenny where staff left messages for the registered owner in Wyesham, Monmouth.
Posters have been displayed asking for help in tracking down his owner. He is now being cared for by one of the charity’s fosterers.
Glynis Davies, Gwent branch co-ordinator said: “We are anxious to reunite him with his owner but if we can’t track her down we will eventually have to re-home him.
“He is a lovely cat so we are trying to give him a happy ending.”
If you know who owns the cat, telephone the Cats Protection Helpline on 0345 3712747.
