BRIGHT sunshine was the order of the day for Monmouth's Easter March last Friday (18th April) which included around 100 people from all the churches in the town. The march, which formerly used to proceed down Monnow Street but now involves a circuit of the new Monnow bridge and its predecessor, as well as a short service, began at 11.00am at St Thomas Church. The march was followed by a brief address from Wyesham Christian Fellowship pastor Ian Roberts and prayers read by three young members of various Monmouth churches. A wooden cross, traditionally carried in the procession every year, was held by Links Youth Club member Perez Pullen. The event was filled with holiday cheer as hot cross buns were handed out to passerbys.
