Tributes are pouring in following the unexpected death of a landlady of a Monmouth pub who was found dead in the early hours of Saturday morning (9th February).

Gwent Police officers were called to The Gate House public house on Monnow Street, Monmouth at approximately 4am, following a report that a woman was unresponsive within the property.

Paramedics pronounced the woman deceased at approximately 4.25am.

The family of Judith Ramsden, landlady of the Gate House public house, have tonight paid tribute to "our beloved wife, mother and grandmother" who passed away suddenly and "completely unexpected" on 9th February.They thanked friends, staff and regulars for their understanding "during this difficult time".
