POLICE officers were out in force in the woodlands of Monmouthshire last weekend (Sunday, 1st October) as part of a joint operation with multiple agencies.

Neighbourhood Ward Manager for Monmouth, PC Chris Butt said: “Operation Woodland is a partnership initiative involving Gwent Police, Natural Resources Wales and the Trail Riders Fellowship to target illegal and anti-social off road biking around Monmouthshire. The purpose of this is to enable us to engage with, and educate, illegal off road bikers and to encourage them to ride responsibly and legally.”
