A 73-year-old man has admitted possessing more than 2,700 indecent images of children.

Victor Bignell appeared in Newport Crown Court last Friday (7th October) and pleaded guilty to two counts of distributing indecent photographs of children, one of possessing indecent photographs of children to show and nine counts of making indecent images of children.

Bignell, of Norton, Skenfrith, also admitted possessing 2,276 indecent photographs of children and two counts relating to the possession of 858 'extreme pornographic images'.
