On the 24th May 1963 Chepstow Round Table received their Charter from the National Association of Round Tables, Great Britain and Ireland and started the "partnership" between Round Table and the people of Chepstow and District which exists to this day.

Throughout the last 50 years much has changed, but one thing remains constant and that is the generosity of the local people which has enabled Round Table to help so many worthy causes.

A lifeboat "The Roger Brown" for SARA , minibuses for the Chepstow School, the current Community minibus and together with donations to organisations large and small, Round Table has tried to do it's bit to improve the lives and fabric of the area.

At the same time generations of Tablers have enjoyed the company of one another whilst organising The May Day Spectacular, several boxing tournaments, helping Santa when he visits the town each December and the Fireworks Display. The funds from all these events, and more, have been distributed across Chepstow and District. In the past four years alone more that £40000 has been raised and given back

In October of this year a celebration Dinner to mark the receipt of the original Charter in 1963 will be held at The Royal George Hotel in Tintern when the current Round Tabler's will host guests from around the UK who will be joining them to celebrate 50 wonderful years of service to the community here in Chepstow.
