After winning the East Gwent League, Rockfield Rovers Under 13s came runners up in the Mark Watkins Cup.

The Under 16s team came runners up in the league and cup.

Club secretary Andrew Tabb said he was delighted with the performances of both youth teams this season and is looking forward to a great season next year.

Andy would also  like to thank the rugby club for holding the end of season party for both youth teams, the adult team and all the parents.

He would also like to thank all sponsors this season for the support and generous donations that help run the club, and a special thanks to Simon Phillips who provided the transport to the cup game this season.

Andy thanked town councillor Sue Chivers for a great job on congratulation of the players and who handed out all the trophies to the players.

Coach Terry Macdonald said: "Next year we are hoping for other youth teams to join us, we are run completely separate from the adult team so any money you make is spent on your team only, all you pay is the running cost of your team, the rest is spent on your team guaranteed.
