The commitment to youth development by the Royal Forest of Dean Angling Club is without question. For many years the organisation has sponsored a training camp for youngsters from the age of six to 16, and it is anticipated that 2012 will be as popular as ever.

In view of the demand in previous years, the club advise all those interested in taking part to book early.

The four-day event takes place at the club's Plump Hill fishery from Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th July.

The training is free, and as ever is conducted by experienced, qualified and CRB-approved coaches, lead by Nick Oakley of Angling 4 a Catch.

Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis so contact Nick on 01594 506373 or 07739 556983 as soon as possible to secure your place.

The sessions are divided into mornings, starting at 9am, and afternoons, starting at 1pm, with each trainee being given personalised advice and help according to their ability.

All are welcome, whether a regular angler or absolute beginner and all you need to need to bring with you is suitable clothing and footwear in case of bad weather. All tackle, bait and other requirements are supplied.

Nick Oakley is the principal of 'Angling 4 a Catch', and he and his team will dedicate themselves to giving all participants an enjoyable time as they learn new skills.
