WITH the successful winter squash season finished, Monmouth Squash Club hosted its first ever summer league.

Starting from the last week of May and ending the last week of July, six teams consisting of four players battled it out to be crowned champions of the summer league.

Every team played each other in a round robin format, with the top four teams qualifying for the semi-finals.

The semi-finals consisted of some high quality squash skills with marathon rallies with Jock’s Superstars and Tej’s Tigers coming through strong to reach the final.

The final was a closely contested match with both teams pushing themselves to the limit and playing some excellent structured points.

Jock’s Superstars started well, but Tej’s Tigers pushed through to eventually win the match and championship 3-1.

The squash club wanted to thank all the players who took part, including the team captains for organising their squads each week and head coach Tej Saran for setting up and running the league.
