UNDY and Severn Tunnel warmed up for their Centenary Cup Final clash next month with both managers using the league match to experiment.

Tom Atkins scored four times as Tunnel triumphed 5-1, but as Tunnel manager Steve Duddridge pointed out, the result will have little bearing on the final and even some of those playing in the league match may not make the squad for the final.

"Neither side wanted to show their hand and rang the changes," he said.

"Oliver Jones, Marc Carter-Selwood, Jack Harrison and David Scanlon were all given the chance to get themselves into the final squad.

"The game was very good to watch with both sides playing some excellent football and I was very impressed with some of Undy's younger players.

Elsewhere, Chepstow Athletic beat Thornwell 5-0 and Sudbrook kept their title hopes going with a 5-0 win at Chepstow Town.

In Division 2, the match between Underwood B and Severn Bridge was postponed as was Mathern B's clash with Chepstow Town B.

Severn Tunnel B lost 3-0 at home to Portskewett and Sudbrook and Tunnel's C team also went down 5-1 at home to Caldicot Castle B.
