At the Sports Wales National Centre in Cardiff last weekend, Monmouth Trampoline Club took part in the first gradings competition for almost two years.

For five gymnasts, it was their first competition.

Kacey King took the Gold medal with a score of 48.7 in the Club Cup Level 1 11-12 Girls group and qualified for the Club Cup Championships later this year.

Daisy Court managed second in the Club Cup Level 3 9-10 Girls. Lexi Wright was fourth in the Welsh Level 1 Under 11 Girls, whilst Evie Roberts and Phoebe Court were first and seond respectively in the Welsh Level 2 Under 13 girls group.

Ethan Duberley won a Silver medal in the Regional 1 11-12 Boys group.

Bronze medals were won by Jessica Maylin in the Regional Level 3 15+ girls and Rachel Maitland in the Welsh Level 1 Under 15 Girls group.

Fourth places went to Olivia Holloway in the Regional Level 2 15+ girls and Katie in the Welsh Level 1 Under 15 Girls.

Grace-Louise Holloway and Tara Maitland managed fifth in their Regional Level 1 groups.

Twelve gymnasts will be competing next month at the second 2022 Gradings competition.

Jessica, Olivia, Tara and Grace will have another attempt at trying to get into the top two in their groups to be in with a chance of qualifying for the Inter-Regional Challenge Cup Final in Sheffield in September.
