CHEPSTOW'S Dell Primary School enjoyed fantastic weather for its summer sports day, held last Wednesday (19th June).

All pupils took part in the day, which saw races and competitions held with help given by student leaders from Chepstow Comprehensive School.

The 27 comprehensive school pupils from years 8 to 11 assisted in the running of both the Dell and Pembroke school sports days as part of their sports leadership awards.

The course gives pupils the chance to reach levels 1, 2 and 3 of the sports leaders UK qualifications that aim to equip people with the skills and motivation to create and run sporting activities.

The students were joined by Geraint Roberts, the county council's sport development officer for Chepstow.

Also assisting the school were representatives from Asda, who were on hand to provide refreshments throughout the day.
