MONMOUTH Squash Club has received a Bronze Club Charter Award from Squash Wales.

The award is given out to clubs that have met certain guidelines and standards in Wales. The club was also just short of receiving the Silver Award.

Head coach Tej Saran said: “It’s a huge step in the right direction for the club, which has seen a massive influx of new committed players and junior members”.

Monmouth Squash Club now has six mens teams and one ladies team who compete regularly in the Welsh leagues. Mixed Adult Club night, which is open to all new players looking to join the club, is on a Sunday afternoon from 3pm to 6pm. Ladies sessions are every Saturday morning at 9am. The junior squash programme runs three one hour sessions every Tuesday. Beginners classes are at 4.15pm, with intermediate classes at 5.15pm and advanced classes at 6.15pm. Private squash lessons are also available every day of the week with head coach Tej Saran.
