Monmouth Town Academy's Under 12s have been crowned South Wales Futsal Champions and finished third overall in Wales.
The U12s have had a long and successful journey playing in the national futsal competition, competing in an eight-week group tournament and finishing top of their group, winning 13 losing only one and drawing two.
This pushed them through to the finals day at Cardiff City's house of sport, where it was all narrowed down with all the best academy teams from north and south battling it out.
Monmouth took on northern champions gap Connah quay in the semi-final, a nail-biting 40-minute game with the whole squad involved.
Monmouth made a comeback from 4-1 down but eventually lost 6-4.
Rhyl beat Llanelli in the other semi final, leaving Monmouth with a third-place play off against Llanelli, the winners of their eight-week group, which they won 5-2.
Under 12s manager and head coach Kevin Davies said he was pleased as this was the side's first appearance in the competition.
"I am so proud of my squad and support from all the players and parents involved," he said.
"Now they are concentrating on their league position which is looking likely to a top four finish ready for the quarter finals play off spot again."
Monmouth Academy director, Jack David said: "It was a great achievement for the Under 12s to finish as South Wales Champions and third in Wales in futsal.
"Congratulations to all the players and thank you to under 12s manager Kevin Davies, also all the parents for their support. May this continue in the future."
