A Monmouth student has become the Under 13 champion of Wales for three athletic events.

Sarah Omeregie also holds the current high jump personal best of any under 13 in the UK.

Sarah, a Year 7 boarder at Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls, won the 60m sprint, the 60m sprint hurdles and the high jump at the Celtic Cup and still finds time to play county netball and a variety of sports at school.

She is currently ranked number one in the UK at the high jump and number two in the UK at 60m hurdles.

Mrs Rossiter, head of athletics at HMSG and a former English long-jumper, believes Sarah is an athlete with incredible potential and can't wait to see her compete in the summer season.
