A JUNIOR rugby club is opening up two training sessions for any U13 boys and girls who would like to get involved in this popular Welsh sport.
Other age training sessions are Monday September 5 for U7s, U8s U9s and U10s between 6pm and 7pm and on Wednesday September 7 for U11s, U12s and Arrows (girls’ team) from 6.45pm til 7.45pm at the Usk ground.
Julia Harrison, manager for U13s, has been doing this for the team now since they were five years old.
Her daughter Josie is now playing in the USA with a rugby scholarship so Julia has just a bit of passion for rugby and Usk rfc
“We are a club where the emphasis is on fun and coaching the fundamentals of team sport in a friendly environment” she said.
USK RFC will have a stand at Usk Show which will be attended by members of the Dragons team too.
All coaches are WRU qualified and DBS checked and if you know of any children wishing to give rugby a try (groan) please email Neil at [email protected]
