MONMOUTH Trampoline Club came home with a record number of medals from the grading competition at Pontypool on Sunday 1st February, achieving eight gold, six silver and six bronze medals. 

Morgan Bain, competing at National Development Plan (NDP) level 6, won a gold medal with a score of 46.6. 

At NDP 5, Rose Jorgensen-Rideout obtained a silver and Emily Bevan competing at NDP 4 for the first time won a gold. Probably the most impressive was Laura Pritchard who won the under-17 NDP 3.

Halle Unsworth won a bronze medal in the under-13 NDP 3, Erin Williams, in only her second competition, came third in the under-13 NDP 2, Tomos Rees won the under-13 NDP 2, Jessica Maylin came second in the under-13 NDP 1 and Anna Porter won the under-11 NDP 1.

Two boys competing in their first competition obtained medals, Lawrence Johnson won the under-11 Regional 3, and Ben Ford picked up a bronze medal in the NDP 2.

In the regional competitions the three sisters Eceil, Kathleen and Yasmina Alzheyrey all picked up place medals, as did Zoe Cripwell. 

Kathleen also won a silver team medal, along with Cerys Miles and Imogen Cotton, who was another person competing in her first competition.

In the synchronised competition Halle Unsworth and Emily Bevan won gold in the NDP 3 class, and Erin Williams and Zoe Lambert came first in the NDP 2 event, having only bounced together for the first time two days before the competition. 

Kirsty Maylin and Katie John came third in the NDP 1, and Kathleen and Eceil Alzheyrey came second in the Reg 3 class.

The club is witnessing exciting times with numbers increasing and

standards getting higher. 

The next competition is being held at Monmouth Leisure Centre on Sunday 1st March.
