This Saturday (14th April) sees Gloucestershire Rally School open its doors for its first open day at the new venue near Latton just off the A419 between Cirencester and Swindon.

The open day will also raise money for two very worthwhile causes in the Air Ambulance and Race2Recovery.

It will give people the opportunity to try their hand at rally driving in an authentic and safe enviroment in fully prepared rally cars for just £50, and for those who just fancy a ride in the passenger seat a host of top local rally drivers will be on hand to give would be co-drivers a high speed ride for just £10, of which £5 will be donated to the charities.

As well as a chance to meet the team it gives a taster of what both full and half-day courses have to offer customers.

The rally school was founded 18 years ago by former British champion Andy Gwynne and has gone from strength to strength, not only accommodating adults, but also junior courses and offering one-to-one tuition for any budding rally driver.

Rally School MD Andy Gwynne said: "The open day is about giving people a taster of what it's like to have a go at driving on the gravel, also the opportunity to experience what it's like from the co-driver's seat alongside one of our experienced instructors, as well as raise money for our nominated charities.

"It's a great way to treat a member of the family for a birthday, anniversary or just scare the wife or girlfriend."

There will also be a play station with prizes on offer as well as a barbecue.
