THE club's walk on Sunday 14th December is an easy five and a half miles in the Forest of Dean.

There are forest tracks and no stiles, though there is almost guaranteed to be mud – but this should be an easier walk for the less active members or those newer to country walking.

The time from Glendower Street car park is 9.20am with the aim to start walking at 10am.

New members are always welcome to join Monmouth Rambling and Hillwalking Club. There is a small annual subscription.

Suitable footwear and clothing are essential. Please bring a drink and a packed lunch.
