ON Sunday 23rd September, a seven mile walk in Herefordshire has been organised.
It will take in the site of a medieval village, the Mynde, Cole’s Tump, and Kilpeck Castle. A path from the earthworks leads to the Church, dedicated to SS Mary and David, with Saxon origins but mostly Norman and now renowned for the unique style of it’s many carvings.
The group will leave Glendower Street car park at 9.15am. The aim is to start to walk at 10am so the leaving time from the car park in Monmouth will vary each week.
New members are always welcome to join Monmouth Rambling and Hillwalking Club.
There is a small annual membership subscription. Suitable footwear and clothing are essential. Bring a drink and a packed lunch. Further information can be obtained from The Tourist Information Office in the Shire Hall, or by telephone on 01633 412013.
