A RAGLAN 13-year-old has made the giant leap to join the Welsh Gymnastics trampolining team.
Monmouth Comprehensive School pupil India Marshall was selected recently and represented her country for the first time over the weekend of 5th and 6th October.
At her debut for the team at the Cwpan Cymru international trampolining competition in Cardiff, India gained a gold medal in the individual under 15s competition, silver as part of the team and bronze for under 18s syncro.
India has been trampolining since the age of eight and trains in Cardiff for at least eight hours each week.
She is next set to compete with the Welsh team later in the month at the European Championships in Prague and will also be competing at the British Nationals in December.
"I'd like to keep going with the sport for as long as I can," said India. "I would love to get to the Olympics one day."
