A lady’s hockey club in Monmouth are returning for the new season on Tuesday, September 6.

After Covid putting a stop to training back in 2020, followed by issues finding facilities, MonRoss Ladies Hockey Team finally made a comeback at the end of August last year.

They are now returning for the next season and looking to recruit new players and join a league as a beginner’s team.

Team member Kim Calland said: “All abilities welcome, even if you’ve not played since school, we will go over how the game has changed but is still as much fun as you remember.

“Open to 13+ years, but know our average age is much higher than that.

“A lot of us just want to get better skills, have fun and get fit, so come along and give it a try.”

The club welcomes anyone of all abilities as many of the members are still learning.

The club’s main principle is having fun and giving it ago.

Training is £3 for each session but the first one is free.
