SIX girls vaulted to second place at a national gymnastics championships.

The team from Inglefield House travelled to Haberdashers' Aske's School, Elstree for the Girls' Independent Schools Gymnastics Association's (GISGA) under-11 four piece National Championships on 18th January.

This is a new competition inviting new schools to GISGA to compete against each other in four pieces – set floor, set vault, voluntary floor and voluntary vault.

Eliza Cripwell was in control of her performances throughout the entire competition, performing well on all four pieces.

Charlotte Armstrong had a little stumble on set floor which meant that she incurred a small deduction.

In the end there was only 0.20 points between the first three places.

Eliza came first and Charlotte third, with the team finishing in second place.

The girls all supported each other and enjoyed the team element of the competition.
