UNDY travelled to Monmouth last Saturday for a series of three 20 minute matches against the under 10s.

Monmouth started well with Oscar Elias netting the first goal of the season after 25 seconds. Callum Shearer, Elis Curr and Alfie Bowen demonstrated some of the quick passing coaches have been working on in training to set Oscar up for our third goal, Jake Teague pulled off some fantastic saves. Both teams played well with some strong attacking play from the Undy ‘Bears’. Monmouth defences proved hard to break however and the host team were quick to capitalise with some good forward play. On a number of occasions, Undy got very close to scoring but were foiled at the last moment by some good ‘keeping’ by the Monmouth team. However the Undy onslaught was unrelenting and the last match especially showed the skill of the visitors while the Monmouth team tired.

Monmouth’s training showed the team capable of giving as good as they got and their team play was exceptional with some rising talent on show.
